Music Video Program with The Adam Ezra Group

Write a song with rock band The Adam Ezra Group!  BATV and The Adam Ezra Group have paired up to design an innovative creative songwriting workshop that leads students through the songwriting process from conception to reality.  The band demonstrates its own collaborative approach, discusses songwriting strategies, and works with students to create an original song from scratch! The emphasis is to show that the creation of music for radio and television is really no different from the creative writing and poetry students work on in English class.  Adding music to the writing experience lends a diverse take on the process of student self-expression.  After the song is recorded, students will then write a music video to accompany the song and film and edit the video in Final Cut Express.  At the end of the week we’ll have a viewing party in the theater and the video will be aired on BATV.  Additionally, each student will be sent home with a DVD copy.  Open to kids ages 10-14.  Check it out: http://www.boston.com/ae/music/articles/2010/05/01/rock_n_roll_middle_school/?page=full
