Introduction to Motion

Learn to create Motion graphics and visual effects at BATV’s new facility!  With this Apple software, you will learn to make 2D and 3D graphics for video.  This course will allow you to import your own graphics or create original graphics using text behaviors, Replicator, and particle emitters.  Motion will help make your video look more professional and creative, whether you want to design moving text, animation, or special effects.  Mac experience required.  Final Cut experience preferred.

Introduction to Digital Video Editing with Final Cut Express

Learn to edit your videos at BATV’s new computer lab!  Final Cut Express is a user-friendly advanced digital video editing program designed to help you create professional looking videos.  Final Cut Express lets you import footage from your camcorder, or even from your iMovie projects.  In this class you will learn media management, how to import and capture footage, edit in a timeline, and add video and audio effects using multiple tracks.  Whether you would like to learn to edit footage of your child’s sporting events or create a blockbuster movie, editing in Final Cut Express will give you the tools to create videos you’ll be proud of.  Mac experience required.

Introduction to Television Studio Production

At BATV’s new studios, you can learn to create a studio production! From scriptwriting to directing, you’ll learn all of the operations of a television studio and control room. Working with BATV’s studio manager, you will learn how to operate studio cameras, the teleprompter, and our state-of-the-art Broadcast Pix switcher. Additionally, you will control lighting, audio, and graphics for a studio production. This hands-on course will introduce you to the basic skills required to produce your own show. No experience required.
