Brookline Access Television Open House Event
Brookline, MA, 3 Oct. 2012 - Brookline Access Television will be holding its annual open house event for members, volunteers, residents, and organizations of the community of Brookline on Wednesday October 3rd from 5:00 to 8:00pm. BATV volunteers and staff will be showcasing the facility, hosting interactive media tutorials, and signing up new members. This event is free and open to the public. Nonresidents of Brookline are always welcome and encouraged to attend. Food, drinks, and wine will be provided!
This year's open house features two fully functioning TV studios with HD cameras, educational computer labs full of macs, private editing suites equipped with all the latest editing software, a spacious conference room, and a theater. Aside from the usual free food, raffles, and showcasing of BATV programming, guests will be welcomed by a demo of our new, hip production van. Guests will also be given a hands-on oppotunity in the studio to help create a brand new promo for our channel. Come see our art galleries, meet the staff, and learn about volunteer and internship opportunities.
More about BATV: Since our founding in 1984, BATV administers airtime on the Brookline public access channels and provides Brookline resident and non-resident members access to its facilities. In addition, BATV offers guidance on program development and technical training on field and studio equipment. Our facilities provide a regular forum for community members to educate and inform the community about issues and events of local, national, nad global importance. BATV also accepts program proposals to cover on-location events of importance to the Brookline community.
