In our new facilities in the Unified Arts Building of the Brookline High, BATV offers state-of-the-art media and technology resources, and hands-on education to our community. Through our facilities, high school classes are taught in Graphic Design, Comics, Animation, Digital Photography, Digital Video, and TV Production. Additionally, any community member can take workshops at BATV through Brookline Adult Ed in Studio Production, Field Camera, Video Editing in FinalCut, Documentary Film, and a handful of other electives.

Access and Educational Studio and Control Rooms
Our facilities offer two fully operational TV studios, with green screen capabilities, teleprompters, and HD BroadcastPix™ control rooms with digital audio consoles. We have three Sony EX3s in our Access Studio and three Sony EX1 field cameras film in HD.
Members of BATV may use these studios to produce their own shows or volunteer with other member’s projects. Non-members and/or members intending to produce a program not intended to be shown on BATV (including non-commercial programs) may rent the Access Studio for a fee. |

Editing Suites We offer four private, nonlinear editing suites that offer members individual space to complete their projects. These three iMacs and one MacPro also run all the latest programs, including:
Safari, Blender, Motion, Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro, Final Cut Express, Adobe Flash CS4, Adobe Bridge CS 4, Adobe Indesign CS4, Adobe Fireworks CS4, Adobe Illustrator CS4, Adope Photoshop CS4, Adobe Dreamweaver CS4, iDVD, iMovie, Word, Excel, Color, Compressor, Powerpoint, Audacity, LiveType, Garageband, XDCAM Transfer, EditShare Connect
Members may reserve personal space to work on practice learning programs and applications, use the BATV subscription to Lynda.com, an online educational resource, or edit your projects to be aired on BATV.
This space may be rented for use on personal projects not designed or intended for cablecast.

Educational Labs The Education Labs entail two identical classrooms each with seventeen iMacs (16 student iMacs, 1 Teacher iMac) three 46-inch teaching monitors. Every machine is loaded with the industry standard software.
Members may take Adult Education courses in Digital Video Editing, Animation, or Adobe Programs. For more information about Adult Education Classes, please visit brooklineadulted.org to read class descriptions and sign up for classes. All class sign ups must be done through Brookline Adult Ed.
Brookline organizations and non-profits may be able to reserve time in the labs for educational purposes, based on availability.

Conference Room Our Conference Room is equipped with a projector and whiteboard and seats 15 comfortably. This space can be used by members to develop shows, storyboard and brainstorm for program proposals.
Brookline organizations and non-profits may reserve this room for Board Meetings, strategic planning or small conferences.
Non-members or organizations using the space for non-commercial purposes may also rent this space.

Theater Our Theater offers twenty-four seat, surround-sound movie theater with a multi-region (for films made abroad) Blu-Ray DVD player. Members can reserve the Theater to screen projects, attend BATV sponsored clubs such as Bibliophile Cinema or Documentary Film Club, BHS Students and teachers can reserve the space for class and Brookline based organizations or non-profits can reserve the Theater for educational purposes. The Theater may be rented for a fee for private parties. |
